Q. What is your style?
My style is light-infused and airy. I have a natural and unposed approach to photographing newborns.
I like to capture the innocent wonder of a new baby and the connection with his or her new parents. I don't do a lot of posing, and you won't find me using any clever props!
Q. Do you help pose your clients?
Although my style is generally fairly natural, I will gently guide you into positions that photograph well. Once there I'll let you be you!
Q. When is the best time to book my newborn session?
In order to guarantee my availability it's best to book your session after your 20 week scan.
I find the best time to photograph a newborn is between 1-2 weeks old. As a mama myself with my own family to care for, I am available for sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Q. When and how will I receive my photos?
After your session I will pick out the best 30 or so images and will then hand edit them in colour and black and white. It generally takes me around 2 weeks to edit your session (possibly 3 weeks in busier period), after which I will deliver your final gallery to you electronically. You can then choose your favourites from the gallery to keep forever!
Please visit the Newborn Pricing page for pricing information.
Q. How do I book?
The session fee of £145 is required to hold your spot in my calendar. The remainder is due by the session date. To book, please get in touch using the contact form.
Once I've received your deposit, I will place a tentative hold around your due date. Please let me know as soon as your baby is born and we can firm up your session date.
Q. What if I don't love being in front of the camera?
I get it, I don't either. But rest assured that my style favours candid shots - for example mama cuddling her baby but not necessarily posing or looking into the camera. You choose if you want to be in the photos, but I would encourage you to be in a few - tangible memories live on in beautiful images!
